Hi, Iām Vlad šš» šØš¼āš»
Software development is my passion, and I am mad about new technologies and approaches. I always want to learn something new and am ready to teach others and share my experience. I strive to ensure that the architecture I design is a work of art and that the code I write is as clear as possible.
I am a big fan of open-source software, and I am always open to open-source ideas and offers. My libs were downloaded more than 220k times, and I am proud of that.
(Sadly I suspect a lot of these downloads were from bots and crawlers).
While currently I am interested in Rust, still there are many languages and technologies I am interested in/familiar with.
I do not neglect AI usage in our daily work as it makes us more productive and helps to solve routine tasks faster, but still I am trying to keep my content AI-free as much as possible.
Stack:
- Ruby/Rails, 8 years of experience (mostly backend, but familiar with erb, haml, slim, etc.)
- Go, 5 years of experience (w/ or w/o frameworks, does not matter, usually wrote microservices)
- Rust, 1.5 years of experience (still have a lot of improvements to make, but mostly had experience with blockchain/web development)
- Blockchain/Crypto (had experience integrating blockchain networks, working with smart contracts and etc. Mostly with Solana/Anchor)
- Rabbitmq/Kafka (can differ their topologies xD)
- Postgres (+still remember some MySQL)
- Elasticsearch (multi-level nested aggregations and all that stuff)
- Redis (caching, persistent storage, etc.)
- Docker (can write dockerfiles, compose, swarm, k8s, i.e. musthave)
- Kubernetes (had experience with helm + was working as CRE/SRE)
- CI/CD (can write pipelines, had experience with github actions, gitlab ci, circleci, etc.)
- Of course, this list could be infinite as I am always open to new technologies and approaches. If you have coin, khajiit has wares.
Among my hobbies are:
- Powerlifting
- 100kg bw, 500kg total
- Learning languages
- Currently learning Spanish and Japanese, after that will work on Latin/Indo-European languages
- Reading
- I really would recommend to read something from https://press.stripe.com
